The hotel is well located, close to Tofino, but on the park side of it. A handy feature is that the hotel includes boat tours at a discount for whale-watching and to the hot springs, which was advantageously priced for customers. The room itself was more than a room, but really a suite, equipped with a king-sized bed. There was a stove, and a fridge, and a little porch where one could eat. The Himwitsa Lodge is a beautiful place to stay. The room was first class. It was very clean and comfortable with lovely decor and furniture and outstanding views across the Pacific ocean. The staff and proprietors were lovely, kind and helpful. We would not hesitate to recommend Himwitsa Lodge. Tofino is a lovely unspoilt place and we hope it remains so. Being from England, we didn't even mind the heavy rain.

We loved the food and the company! Paula was a great hostess and a wonderful chef - the breakfasts were delicious! Being gluten-free, I really appreciated her efforts to accommodate and give me special treats. The front desk staff was very helpful and friendly. My room ( a deluxe king) was beautiful and spacious, with views into the forest. After a hard day of surf lessons, I had a wonderful sleep on the very firm bed. -

The location is superb - looking out onto the ocean - and the lodge has its own private beach. Relaxing in the large, supremely comfortable lounge looking out on the beautiful scene ( as the rain poured down!) with endless supplies of coffee or tea was a real treat and a memorable one.
Freshly baked cookies in the evening were a nice touch too.

Nice view of the marina, quiet location, good beds, nice bathroom, decent fridge, nice balcony with chairs, outdoor area with picnic tables. Smoking is permitted on balconies, so that is a plus or minus depending on your preference. Easy walk to all amenities.

The units are very private, well appointed and fairly new. The unit provides all the dishes and utensils you need to cook a meal. There is a shared BBQ available, lounge, hot tub and observation room for storm watching. Located on Cox Bay it is easy access to a lovely beach.
