  The location is just perfect. It is right in the center of the old city center (upper city). A perfect location to explore Salvador. The area the hotel is in is newly renovated and is safe to walk around freely during days and nights. Staff speaks really good English and are extremely helpful. We went for a professional capoeira show in the evening just about 5 minutes from the hotel – supposingly one of the best in Brazil. - The hotel is charming. The staff are among the nicest, most helpful and accommodating I've found in all my travelling. The room and bathroom were spacious and clean, the bed could have slept 4 people! The location of the hotel was great for tourists, shopping (although touristy shopping mostly) and taxis were abundant and within a 1 minute walk. Good restaurants were plentiful within walking distance as well.

  Extremely friendly hostel right in the heart of the Pelourinho. The facilities are certainly a bit spartan, but the staff are overly friendly, speak many languages, and they assist you and advise you on all matters. The pousada has a very nice covered courtyard with coffee tables, a hammoc, and a pool table, as well as a sunny terrace with rooftop... co mówią ludzie » views. The rooms are very simple but spacious, clean and fresh. They also have fridges for keeping snacks or drinks. The view from the rooms is very - Location was excellent, in the heart of Pelhourhino. Even though accommodation reflected the historic nature of the buildings and area (basic and old fashioned) it added to the feel of being in an historic, authentic location. We had a room which adjoined a communal terrace with fantastic sea views and ideal for enjoying a late night drink.

  The hotel owners, an extremely friendly Italian couple creates a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. Breakfast is delicious and has every day another surprise. The location is great and you can easily walk to the center or to the peaceful Santo Antonio.
