The location is just perfect. It is right in the center of the old city center (upper city). A perfect location to explore Salvador. The area the hotel is in is newly renovated and is safe to walk around freely during days and nights.

The hotel is charming. The staff are among the nicest, most helpful and
accommodating I've found in all my travelling. The room and bathroom
were spacious and clean, the bed could have slept 4 people! The location
of the hotel was great for tourists, shopping (although touristy
shopping mostly) and taxis were abundant and within a 1 minute walk.
Good restaurants were plentiful within walking distance as well.

The hotel owners, an extremely friendly Italian couple creates a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. Breakfast is delicious and has every day another surprise. The location is great and you can easily walk to the center or to the peaceful Santo Antonio. I traveled by myself and certainly recommend the area and the hotel for female single travelers

Redfish is quirky in the best possible way: the artwork, the indoor jungle garden. It's small so you can get to know other travellers. The staff is helpful but not intrusive. The breakfasts are wonderful.
Salvador can be a bit daunting so it's good to be just on the edge of Pelhourino but only 5 mins walk downhill.
