I had a great time at Chatswood Inn. I can't say much about the room itself (it's OK but nothing special), but it was perfectly clean and the staff was very nice and helpful. The location is quite close to Chatswood train station, which is about 15 minutes from the city center on a frequently served train line. The best reason to go to Chatswood Inn is the value for money you get, though. Only youth hostel come at a lower rate, and I doubt any can compete with the cleanliness of this place.
wszystkie opinie » It was very off putting from the outside. A house that had been turned in to a "hotel." It turned out to be very quite and comfortable. It is within walking distance to all the cafes, shops, restaurants and cinemas. Email explaining directions;friendly welcome, tea and coffee and kitchen facilities; spotlessly clean;comfortable bed;easy walk to shops and transport. Despite first impression, my room, while not particularly roomy, & slightly claustrophobic, was clean & ok for a one night stay. 10-15 minutes walking to Chatswood station and the fabulous Chatswood shopping centre. Very convenient. Clean, friendly staff, close to train, great value for money, safe off street parking. Close to rail station and shops. Quiet location and parking, a good place to stay. Comfortable. Staff considerately delayed noisy work outside our room until we left. Room was cleaned and tidy. Also they do provide towels. it was close to where we needed to be. Nice room in a quiet suburb. Who suffers from asthma like me can be perfectly OK at Chatswood Inn! 2) Very comfortable bed and pillow (room E)! 3) Very quiet, I loved it because I hate noisy places! 4) Location, perfect for taking a healthy 10-15 min. walk every day (to the station, to the shopping mall...) - anyway there is a bus stop right opposite the street ;-) and you can reach Sydney CBD in 15-20 minutes. 5) The Innkeeper - Joanna - is a really nice person, she ma. Free wifi in the room. price fairly big. Hot water supply was adequate,the fridge n microwave functional,they offered a heater!! When it got cold. The position was good. Good off street parking. position. Payment was by having a staff member write down all of my credit card details including security codes. Everything was great!. First impression, on pulling into driveway was not good - gardens overgrown with lots of weeds, & whole property quite run-down & in desperate need of some tlc. Could do something to make surrounds tidier. the fact that the place in person did not represent the internet pictures, i was very disapointed on the apperance when we arrived, also had no hot water. My blowdryer set the smoke alarms off. Only minor "PROBLEMS": 1) You only have a microwave oven and a boiler in the room, so you're forced either to go out to eat or to eat pre-cooked or cold dishes (like salads). 2) In room E you MUST throw the toilet paper in the garbage bin instead of the toilet. I don't know if this is a problem in all the rooms. Being asked to pay the balance before being given key to room (unfortunately this seems to be business practice for oriental owners which they should stop doing) room was far too hot, no air con. not clean enough insufficent staff. Owners either never travelled or STINGY.none of typical needs for traveller offered.G.shampoo,toothbrush.The cupboard/tables/bedheads all old homemade.the matress not good for person 75Kg.or more.keptall credit card details including security codes!! Very rude. The room was very basic .Every power point (3) had a power board attached with 3 or more plugs attached. The room had "don't do 'this or that' on every wall". dirty, run down. Attitude of staff on arrival. 2$ for parking when there is nowhere else to park is just blatant manipulation of a customer. The toilet ran water all night and did not flush properly. The view from a window was a construction site which was right outside our room and was permanently noisy. There was no shampoo or conditioner just soap, no hand towels. It was the worst BB or motel We have ever stayed in.
