  I thought the hotel was excellent. I have visited New York many times on business but this time I was travelling with my wife and teenage children who had not visited New York before.   Boerum Hill is a great alternative to staying in Manhattan. We were travelling for a friends wedding in the area and probably wouldn't have considered it before but definitely would again. We stayed in the top floor, two bedroomed apartment which gave us much more flexibility than you would have in a hotel room. Free WiF - Having previously paid a small fortune to stay in cramped dingy hotels rooms in Manhattan, we decided to try this as an alternative. It was a great decision. You get so much more for your money, in terms of space and facilities. Our room was spotless, spacious and comfortable. We were in a guest house but had total independence and freedom.   This was my second stay at The Bowery and I still love it. You really feel like you are in NY not the tourist version of NY that you see on TV (if that makes sense).   Our favorite aspect of the room was the bathroom with both a deep soaking tub and a lovely shower with hand held spray. This latter feature is often omitted in even many nicer hotels.   This is a wonderful hotel, with impeccable design that translates effortlessly from the big picture to the smallest detail.
