  The location in the Garden District was within walking distance of the lovely antebellum mansions and great restaurants. The streetcar was right outside our door. It was a 20 minute ride to the French Quarter. The neighbourhood was quiet after the noisy hustle and bustle of all the sights of downtown New Orleans.and safe for an morning stroll. The... hva folk sier » hotel grounds were beautifully landscaped with 2 pools to relax in at the end of the day. We would highly recommend this hotel and would return in a - We booked at the Avenue Plaza at the last minute because our reserved hotel room elsewhere had a broken pool. For $10 more a night, the amenities were more than doubled. We were so happy with our stay at the Plaza I will book there every return (business) trip. It is worth not "shopping around" to stay there.

  I Loved the comforter on our bed it was so comfortable to sleep in, and the pillows were amazing as well! The hotel it's self is very convenient, right across the way from the street car (which isn't exspensive at all) there are awesome food places all over the place, not far from the French quarter or Bourbon street, basically right where you wan... hva folk sier » t to be, the area around the hotel is safe there is security at night that walks the property. The staff at the front desk where awesome, so very frie - This place looked little tired but the rooms were large, very clean,really great location with lots of eating places near by also street car straight across road and the staff very very helpful. Breakfast was also included and was really nice and large selection. The only negative was that we stayed the weekend of Jazz Festival and the room price nearly doubled but we would certainly stay there again loved it

  I liked the coustmer service. The staff was great! The pool area looked great like it was out of a movie. The gated parking is comforting. - The staff was pleasant and eager to help
