  The location in the Garden District was within walking distance of the lovely antebellum mansions and great restaurants. The streetcar was right outside our door. It was a 20 minute ride to the French Quarter. The neighbourhood was quiet after the noisy hustle and bustle of all the sights of downtown New Orleans.and safe for an morning stroll. We would highly recommend this hotel and would return in a - We booked at the Avenue Plaza at the last minute because our reserved hotel room elsewhere had a broken pool. For $10 more a night, the amenities were more than doubled. We were so happy with our stay at the Plaza I will book there every return (business) trip. It is worth not "shopping around" to stay there.

  I have stayed here for just one night and again for seven consecutive nights, and each time I have had a lovely, spacious, clean room with a large bathroom and all the amenities such as coffee maker, fridge, microwave, iron, WiFi, etc. You can pick up a free newspaper in the lobby every day. There are two places to eat and a coffee bar right in t - The value of the hotel was excellent considering the fact that my family was in New Orleans for a major festival and all the other major hotels were too high. I like the easy check-in, the front desk staff was pretty friendly. The rooms were very spacious, we reserve the standard room and there were 3 people in my room, and we were very satisfied with the space and the view from our room.
