  If you like a historic, vintage kind of place the Menger Hotel is just that. Has a lot o tradition and is very comfortable. Nice room - a little pricey due to the valet parking, but this is a downtown touristic city and no parking. Like the proximity to the shopping mall and Riverwalk. Very comfortable. As such, it has charm, character, elegance and comfort but do not expect modern amenities. For example, the older wing has only one small elevator. This is not a hotel appropriate for families, but great for couples, business travelers and retirees; anyone seeking beauty, peace and quiet, and something different from cookie cutter hotel chains.

  Had to change nights. Westin and letsbookhotel.com were able to accommodate change. have not been able to do that with other sites. Thanks to ALEX at Westin!! - Loved the pool. Beauitifully designed with good views. Beds very comfortable. Nice and spacious bathroom. Shower is AMAZING.

  I've stayed at many highly rated hotels in San Antonio, and Mokara is unquestionably at the top of my list. It starts with superior service - over the top attention to detail. We were walked to the elevator during check-in by a member of the desk staff, and later - accompanied by a doorman down to the riverwalk level of the hotel as he provided us... hva folk sier » with food and drink suggestions. It wasn't pushy or uncomfortable service - just enough to make you feel welcome. Our room was spectacular - really w - Loved the personal touch and attention to detail when it came to staff service. The location is perfect on the River Walk, and the breakfast in the hotel restaurant was great. Rooftop pool was perfect for relaxing, and the spa employees were fun and engaging.

  The stay was great and all the staff was super friendly...but what I liked most was you could opt out of valet parking and park yourself for about 1/3 the cost. The self serve parking garage was only a block away and super easy to access. Just make sure you have cash or check. My total cost for 3 nights/4 days was only $27 vs. $29 per night for va... hva folk sier » let. And the parking attendants weren't pushy and actually gave me the idea of parking at the local garage. (Hope this doesn't get them in trouble) Be - The hotel staff was very friendly, professional and courteous throughout our stay. The hotel is located on the Riverwalk and very convenient. My wife and I were very comfortable and truly enjoyed our stay. We rate this hotel as excellent and definitely would choose to stay there again on our next visit.
