The room was spacious, clean and well equipped with essentials- toiletries and kitchen utensils, definitely fit for a long stay for business or to take a tour around the city. Food was great - one of the reasons I love about this hotel. -

Arrived Dubai airport at 5.10am, took Emirates bus to Abu Dhabi, arrived hotel mid morning, very tired. Hotel staff made every effort to provide an earlier check in. Hotel has excellent facilities. I liked everything at Sands Hotel, It was really professional, clean, the staff were very friendly. It's very conveniently located, across the road from El Dorado cinema, three bakeries (one of which opens at 5.00 am!), and a 24h supermarket.
On the same side of the hotel, there are laundromats, small cafes (one I would recommend is Captain Puff Pastry....delicious and very affordable local pizzas...loved the Kraft and honey), and some sports shops.

very slow in auh, pretty crowded and infrequent. Parking in hotel is
free which is good. If you rent a car you have to valet park it at hotel

Al Wahdah Mall is just round the corner. You can have great meals there without breaking the bank. Close to the main bus terminal. You take a bus on a day trip-shopping trip-to Dubai. You can go to Sharjah and from there visit all the other emirates. It is a conducive place to stay as it is your entry point to the UAE. Looking forward to staying there again and again.
