A very warm welcome when I arrived. Home made Lemon cake was a delicious treat after an 8 hour journey. Room was lovely and the bed was extremely big and comfortable with top quality bed linen. Breakfast was fantastic - lots of organic/free range items which was a pleasure and the fresh fruit salad and freshly squeezed orange juice was amazing. Usually i don't like breakfasts when i am on a business trip as they are not like you would have at home. The breakfast at The Bank House B&B was be.

The food was outstanding, we class ourselves as 'foodies' and were certainly not disappointed, the menu was extensive and the fresh fruit salad on your table was a lovely addition. The owners are very friendly, helpful people who go to great lengths to make your stay as pleasurable as possible, from the homemade bread and cakes to being just lovely people. Would recom. very clean and friendly and well appointed. The facilities are great and rooms very comfortable. This is a relatively small place but no expense is spared on keeping the guests happy. This includes an excellent breakfast with many choices of quality local food, to travel guide information on the local area. Highly recommended as I have stayed in other hotels and B&B's in Penrith and this is the best by far. Our room was beautifully furnished and every last detail was of high quality, down to the lovely toiletries supplied. The owners were very helpful and breakfast in the delightful dining room (with superb views) was excellent. The menu was extensive and cooked to order. The fresh fruit salad was delicious an excellent range of quality cereals was provided. A great place to stay!. Lovely house with friendly owners. The location was a bit misleading. We thought that we would be closer to the town center. It's a bit of a walk for a mature couple!. No off road parking. No bedside table on one side of bed (room 4). Seems a small point but it means there is no where to put glasses, phone etc or place a bedside-lamp Room quite dark - could not read at night. Along a steep hill above the town. There were no house numbers, only names, several of which started with the word, "Bank." Parking was on the street. You'd have a job to find anything to complain about. We liked it and would stay there again. Limited off road parking. Nothing. I had a problem connecting to WiFi. This wasn't a big issue and had I asked I assume it could have been sorted out. Bed a bit small for us Not great power for the shower water.
