This is no ordinary B & B but a century old pub situated in a quiet residential area, 5 minutes from the train station and 10 from the city centre, with friendly helpful staff and excellent food at a good price. I stayed two nights and had intended going into the city for the evenings but ate and drank in the pub instead, great food and cask ales I really enjoyed it - even the locals were friendly! Very helpful owners who went out of their way to make our stay excellent. The room was very comfortable; breakfast was varied and generous. Really appreciated the central heating in the mornings and evenings and the exceptionally hot shower ! Close to city centre. We are in our 70sand we could walk there in 10 mins.

I loved everything about The Boacardo and would recommend it to anyone. They went out of their way to give us an early check in, helped by holding our bags after our stay while we did a tour, recommended a good food pub, offered adapters, had quality toiletries, etc. Beds were comfortable, and temperature could be controlled by us.This was a delightful hotel which I would stay in again.

The staff were incredibly nice and friendly, offering coffee if you were sitting in the common area and making individual portions of English breakfast for each guest in the morning. The building has character and is pretty, with a really nice veranda where breakfast is served. The location was pretty convenient - about 20 minutes from the center of the city.

I liked everything. I have stayed in 5 different hotels over the summer and none of them were anywhere near the standard of the Remont. It was not plush or luxurious but a place where i felt immediately at home . The beds were comfortable, the breakfast was really, really good. Nothing fancy just good quality and beautifully cooked.
