This is no ordinary B & B but a century old pub situated in a quiet residential area, 5 minutes from the train station and 10 from the city centre, with friendly helpful staff and excellent food at a good price. The hotel was charming and inviting. The location was perfect for us. I was traveling with my daughter visiting another child that is taking a gap year and is in the Oxford Tutorial College. she was able to get to us and we got around the town wonderfully. The staff were all helpful and informative. The environment was cozy and warm which was greatly appreciated because the weather was chilly and wet. Would definitely recommend to others.

The staff welcomed us back for our 1st wedding anniversary with their friendly, courteus mannerm and a bottle of champagne in the room- we first stayed at The Old Bank last year ,having just got married, and they made our trip extra special by upgrading our room and again giving us champagne. I liked everything. I have stayed in 5 different hotels over the summer and none of them were anywhere near the standard of the Remont. It was not plush or luxurious but a place where i felt immediately at home . The beds were comfortable, the breakfast was really, really good. Nothing fancy just good quality and beautifully cooked. conserved and everything very clean. The localization is good, it's
less than 10 min. Bus from downtown, it means that its quit and walking
