The hotel was being renovated when I stayed there, so I think it will be even better in the future, but the staff was very friendly and helpful, and the English breakfast was good. It is close to a tube-station, and not to far from down town.
our room was small, and old, but they said at the hotel that they had started renovating the hole hotell, so I think it will be very nice rooms. very small bathroom.

Everything!! Excellent location, few min walk from Underground really!! Excellent size room, very clean, lovely cooked breakfast.And on our final day even though we checked out at 11, they held our suitcases while we spent our last afternoon sightseeing.
Close to trains helpful staff
Small and very comfortable family hotel in quiet region of city but close to all interesting places in London. Frendly staff, feeling was like at home. We got all necessary "for people first time in London" information from staff. If we travel next time to London we shall stay there for 100%.

I visited the Castleton Hotel with my 13 year old daughter. We got a room on the top floor, and although we had to climb the stairs the room was really cosy! It was very clean, and the staff was the friendliest ever!!! Paddington station (buses and underground) was just around the corner.We will absolutely choose this hotel again!
The staff was outstanding friendly and nice. They had many suggestions of what to do and where to go. The hotel is in the Centre of London, 2 stops from Oxford Street and 3 min. from Paddington. The rooms were very tidy and clean. The breakfast was good, original and served in a very nice room (Victorian).Super Hotel !! Thanks..

Refurbishment very good and more staff now at breakfast, but prices still very good. Good towels also. For somehere this cheap, what do you expect! Honest, simple bed for the night + friendly receptionist + ok breakfast
The reception manager was genuinely friendly, helpful and happy which always makes your stay more enjoyable.The beds and pillows were very comfortable.The rooms were very clean the choice of television channels were much greater than other hotels I've stayed at in London. The bathroom facilities were clean and functional.

I just didnt like the fact that thie internet connection was just public areas, if they extended to rooms it would have been more convienient.

The Castleton Hotel does not have an elevator so can be rather inconvenient when carrying luggage up several flights of stairs. But I already knew what to expect from the reviews.
Unbeatable location, only a 3m walk from paddington tube and rail station in a very quiet and beautiful street, excellent price. Localização imbatível, apenas a 3m a pé da estação de metro e combio de paddington, numa rua muito bonita e sossegada, a um preço excelente.
Breakfast could be better. Room was nice and cosy and really small. But size really doesn't matter when you only use the room to sleep. O pequeno almoço podia ser melhor. O quarto era muito pequeno, mas quando se está em Londres o hotel só serve mesmo para dormir por isso o tamanho não é de todo importante. E, apesar de pequeno, era bastante simpático e confortável.

Very Close to Train and Tube, Clean and Friendly place to be.
Air Conditioning Only Available at there discression. Not what I would call a hearty breakfast plus you cant cook toast for 50 people in one domestic toater and Tv was free view not Sky and many channels unavailable due to poor signal.
The staff were very plesent and paddington station was only 2 minutes from the hotel wih was very useful.

Hotel staffs were friendly and very helpful. Breakfast usually starts at 7am but we wanted to have breakfast at 6:45am in order to catch a tour at 7:30am. Staff was flexible and accommodated our needs pleasantly. Breakfast was delicious.
Shower space is small. It was a bit noisy to hear the cracking sound and the "bom bom bom" sound when people walking up and down stairs.
