Romney’s Self Catering Apartments and Snugs attached to a Gastro Pub & Restaurant in Kendal offer well-appointed self-catering accommodation in picturesque Cumbria. Luxurious 1, 2 and 3-bedroom apartments and snugs are complemented by an on-site bar and restaurant and all have free Wi-Fi access.
Many bedrooms feature king-size beds, and all are furnished in contemporary style and have stylish wooden floors. The tiled bathroom is in keeping with the modern feel and has a large bath tub.
Each unique apartment (apart from Snug apartments) has a fully equipped kitchen with high-quality appliances. Large leather sofas and a flat-screen TV can be found in the cosy open-plan lounge. Romneys Apartments are self catering, however the team of Chefs from the Gastro Pub will be happy to cook a bacon or sausage sandwich.
The property is set in the grounds of a beautiful newly renovated 19th century traditional stone-built Gastro Pub and Restaurant. With a contemporary atmosphere, Romney's is the perfect place to enjoy a drink and a meal from a wide selection of ales and wines and an extensive menu.
There is also a play area with a slide, swings, climbing frame, and more. The play area is set in the opposite side of the grounds of the accommodation.
Romney’s Apartments are just 6 minutes’ drive from Kendal Train Station and the town centre. Home of the Mint Cake, this pretty town is full of history, and serves as a gateway to the Lake District, being just 9 miles away from Lake Windermere.

The apartments were newly refurbished and done very nicely. A nice touch was that fresh milk, tea, coffee, sugar and things like tea towels and dishwasher tablets/washing up liquid were provided. The pub adjoining the apartments does good food at reasonable prices.
Great value for money. Tastefully furnished and well equipped. Tv in the lounge area and the bedroom. They provide tea and milk which was a nice touch for an apartment. Perfect for a stop off on the way to Scotland. Would recommend!. alle vurderinger »
We loved Romneys. The people as well as the apartment we stayed in were great. We liked that the apartment was new and very clean, but still had old-world charm. Restaurant was wonderful.

Not a big issue but the apartments are very small.
They don't really do breakfast so we had to go out.
The internet connection dropped several times while we were there. It was a bit cold at times - we didn't seem to be able to get the heaters working properly, a blanket or two for the living room would be great. The incense in the bathroom was too strong. All little things.

No Wifi in apartment, wifi in the bar also not working during our stay. Facilities are good but lack some essentials (microwave oven and washing machine.) in our apartment.
