1) First of all, I would like to mention the price, which is pretty fair. This is the main reason why I recommend Antalya to my friends.
2) To my amazement, I found that virtually no one speaks English in Antalya. The hotel staff was a lucky exception. But in the streets, shops, taxi it was terrible. I simply had to use gestures to ask something.
3) It seemed to me that the locals don't know anything. When I asked something in the street, I rarely got an answer. Once, I needed to go to the bank

I may be being a bit generous in rating, but I had just come from a string of hotels with the same average per day cost which were very, very bad. Candles house was excellent for the money. I have stayed at Villa Verde for 9 days and I still have no clue when they all passed. I have picked the hotel after a long search and I cant be happier with my choice. It is perfectly located in the center of old town, easy access but, even if I knew Antalya and how to get to town from the airport I have hired a round trip transfer with the hotel

We had notified the hotel that we would arrive sometime after 11pm yet with plane delays we arrived at 1am. Despite the delays we were met with a smile and they kept reception open specifically for us.
The room and the hotel were clean, had all the services required and was located in a beautiful spot next to some local ruins.
The hospitality of the staff was awesome for our whole stay as they provided us with excellent information regarding the area and always did so with a smile.

This is a great hotel for a stay in Antalya if you want to be in the core of the city and close to lots of attractions. The hotel also had a daily shuttle (free) that went to the a beach close by if you felt like a lounging day. Breakfast buffet was very good compared to most hotels. Internet worked great everywhere. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Rooms clean and comfy. I would not hesitate to recommend this hotel to other travelers.
