The Pension was great value. The room was clean and had a cute small balcony out onto a square. The bathrooms were spotless although a little dated.

The staff were very friendly and spoke English. We chose this hotel as we were arriving by car and didn't want to drive right into the city centre. The walk into town only takes 10-15 mins. We also loved the movie theme of the hotel and got the Bob Hoskins room. The rooms have DVD players and you can hire for free, movies from the hotel to watch, so we thought this was pretty cool. Can't comment on the breakfast as we went an ate elsewhere.

The location is very quiet and scenic and a nice escape from the bustle of the city, and the buses into town are quick (maybe 10 mins to Ondaretta Beach and 25 to Gizupkoa Square) and regular and go from outside the front door (a taxi is around €10 from the main taxi rank at the edge of the old town). Luarri is a little gem located in a peaceful setting on the mountainside but only a couple of minutes by car away from Ondarretta beach. Conveniently, the local bus stops outside the hotel every half hour or so and drops off at the funicular railway and then on to the centre of San Sebastián.
This is a charming, Basque-style, family-run hotel with modern, stylish bedrooms ( only 7, I think).
Belen provided us with directions to the hotel and we found it easily. Free parking was a bonus.

The staff at the hotel have been the most helpful I have ever encountered. The hotel is in a superb location, the room was on the 3rd floor overlooking the bay of San Sebastian with superb views. The room was better than you would normally expect from a 2 star hotel. The underground secure parking was a definite bonus and probably a necessity.

Everthing good here especially as we requested a room with a sea view and booked in the car into their secure garage. A clean bright and comfortable hotel situated around the bay and about a 30 minute stroll along the promenade to the old part of town and the port.
The in-house restaurant served throughout the day and this was appreciated for a 24 hour visit. Just 7 euros for secure parking underground. We liked the whole set up and would recommend it.
