We liked almost everything about our stay. Ibon, the owner, was
extremely helpful - giving us information about restaurants, tourist
sites, etc. We stayed in two rooms - a double on the second floor (the
grandparents) and the apartment on the sixth floor (family with 2 small
children). Ibon is renovating the building so there was no elevator but
this will be finished in a few weeks. And, as active people, this did
not bother us at all. The rooms were clean and large, the view from the
apartment

This was a very pleasant pension. We had a double and a single room for our daughter. The rooms were spotlessly clean and comfortable. It was quite well located with only a ten minute walk to the old town where we spent a lot of time. The coffee which is free was lovely. It is very clean and almost new since the owner just repaint the pension.
It is definetiley worth place to stay and if I am going to san sebastian, I will definitely come back to this pension

Nice, bright and clean room on the 5th floor, loved the little balcony facing the street. Quiet area, but still close to everything.
Joakina herself was very nice and welcoming, and so was her son. Some people have complained about her being around all time, but we only saw her on arrival and the day we left. We could come and go as we pleased. -

Loved this pension! They upgraded us to a massive corner room which
had a separate lounge area with tv and numerous little balconies. This
pension is very clean and has great staff that are very very helpful
and will even draw on a map all the tapas bars they regularly go to.
So ask a few of the staff so you get a good mix of Bars to hang out
at.

equiped, stylish interior, qualty material. Parkinghouse is near, five
minutes to walk. Special discounted voucher has been provided by the
hotel. In next corner great bakeri and this block has bustling nightlife

Pension Kursaal feels like a very good 3-star hotel to me. The room and bathroom are spacious, with a little balcony overlooking the Kursaal convention centre (room 14). It is well equipped with strong shower and hair dryer. The pillow is really comfortable! Wifi is fast. Just around 10 mins walk to the old part. A really good hotel overall!

The staff were very friendly and spoke English. We chose this hotel as we were arriving by car and didn't want to drive right into the city centre. The walk into town only takes 10-15 mins. We also loved the movie theme of the hotel and got the Bob Hoskins room. The rooms have DVD players and you can hire for free, movies from the hotel to watch, so we thought this was pretty cool. Can't comment on the breakfast as we went an ate elsewhere.
