  Location superb - pedestrianised shopping strip right outside your door. Very safe area. Extremely helpful staff-thanks Mary and George for a great and comfortable stay. Rooms are bright, decently sized and everything works unlike some 4 star hotels I've stayed at. Fast Wi fi connection.   First of all, the location of the hostel is great, being located in the heart of Madrid, a few minutes away from Gran Via and all the cultural places. Also it is really easy to arrive from the airport. Second of all, the ratio quality-price was great taking into the consideration that my room was quite modern and I enjoyed the shower with hidromas... hva folk sier » sage. The room was very clean and quiet. Next, the staff was young, professional, very friendly and with good communication skills (they spoke English - The location of Hostal Gala is excellent, a 5 minute walk from Gran Via and Puerto Del Sol. The staff are super welcoming and friendly, always ready to help and advise on where to go and what to do. The hostal is also kept very clean and the cleaning staff are very friendly and helpful as well. Although the rooms do not have safe deposit boxes, security and leaving passports/money behind was never a cause for concern. This is a place I would recommend and stay at again!

  The staff at Numancia, especially the man on the front desk the majority of the time are excellent. All our needs were met and any requests were willing to be accommodated including leaving our luggage there for a whole day (as our train trip was at night).   Excellent excellent value! The Cuban man running the place is very friendly and helpful, interesting to talk to in general if you can speak some Spanish. In a great location with lots of bars, tapas shops, short walk to all the major attractions. Simple, but very very clean and neat.   The staff were so friendly, particularly Anna. We didn't realise it was more of a backpackers' hostel than a hotel, but as it was only two nights, it didn't matter. Anna was very helpful and the hostel's location could not be bettered. - good room, friendly staff, localization.

  The personnel was very friendly, I was very sick during my stay and they took care of me, were speaking english and french very well. I will go back there with no doubt! The location is great, so close to metro and to la latina, plaza del sol, small fresh market...   This hotel is excellent for location and comfort at a very reasonable price. We were able to park free of charge outside the hotel and used the Metro, which is 5 mins walk from the hotel, to travel into the centre of Madrid in 20 mins. Another plus is an Italian Restaurant 'Ginos' situated near the Metro. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit to Madri - The metro station is situated with 2-3 minutes walk. Free parking is just outside the hotel. If you wish to have a more secure / private parking, the hotel could provide. The hotel is just between the city centre and the airport. There will be no problem to call a taxi. Value for money.
