  Ibis Budget was extremely great! Close to city center, 10 minutes of walking distance. Helpful staff, especially Xavi! Really cheap and highly recommended! - Perfect place to stay in Girona. Not far from the center, nice minimalistic design, clean room, included everything we needed and cheap. Highly recommend!

It's within walking distance of the old town, though the climb back up includes almost 300 stair-steps plus some steep paths. Carmen was a wonderful host - extremely welcoming, passionate about what she does and helpful when giving tips on where to eat/what to do in Girona. She is obviously a big foodie like us. One small thing is, while we really enjoyed the breakfast, we felt it was slightly overpriced for what you get, however, it was so impressive that many of the jams, yogurts etc Carmen had made herself. Location: Perfect everything within easy walking distance and right in centre of the old town - do not stay in the new town as all the sights are here you will end up doing a lot of extra walking if you don't.
