Unlike some hotels we were able toleave the air-con on all day (handy in the hot summer). Long-ish walk totown (30-45 mins), which I didn't mind and in any case taxis in Cluj arecheap. Decent restaurant next door too.

  This would be the best apartment I have stayed in. It had everything you could want and the lady was so nice and so helpful. They also serve breakfast in your apartment if you wish for a extra charge. The breakfast was always so nice and it was easy to tell that the people take pride in there apartments' and guests.   I came here for a week, initially planned to stay 3 nights here and the rest elsewhere, but ended up booking my entire stay with this hotel! The staff are really friendly, and cater for all your needs, the receptionist was so helpful she sorted my train times and bookings and was always there to lend a hand if I needed it. About the deluxe room : a big bed, i believe a queen size bed (actually 2 beds put together), the bathroom was big : it had a large shower, just fine for 2 persons, a bath and all the needed accessories. But if you look for a nice place with real nice owners, a uniquely designed room with a wonderful night view looking at the historic center of the city, do not hesitate to try. Even the famous city cemetery is nearby. Parking is also not - Everything. The owner of Transilvania Cowboy Cottage was one of the nicest people I've met, and the family is very friendly and welcoming and makes you feel right at home. The room, I must say,being spacious and outright comfy is an absolute antique masterpiece. I would definitely recommend staying there for anyone visiting Cluj Napoca.
