  Dette er tredje gangen vi bruker Hotel Gabelshus; tre helger det siste halvåret. Ved senere anledning at vi skal til Oslo så vil vi alltid først kontakte dette hotell for å sjekke om det er ledig rom. - Positivt overrasket over kvelds buffeten som var inkludert i prisen. Ellers var det et utmerket opphold i et rolig strøk.

  This is n new hotel that was opened in February. In one word it was fantastic. The quality of everything from the decor, to service detail, and food were of the finest quality. The artwork was a collected and hung in almost every corner of the hotel even in the stairwells.   Location close to the city center. The breakfast was wonderful. The room was big enough and had even a small balcony. - Convenient to city center and transportation. Great complimentary breakfast.

  Breakfast was one of the best I've ever experienced in a hotel (selection was enough for having at least 4 totally different menus - everything of a very high quality). Very nice and helpful receptionist. - Bicycles in bad conditio anf only 3 for all guest BUT IMORTANT THEREWERE POSIBILITY TO CYCLING. Very nice hotel,friendly stuff.   The Ellingsens Pensjonat is exactly in the oldest tram-line of Oslo, (1875), the "Holtegata" street! Its next to the shopping street "Bogstadveien". The line 19 comes every 10 minutes from 5am 'till late and bring you all the way down to the city center in around 7 minutes passing through the beautiful neighbourhood of Uranienborg. The bathroom a the opposite of the reception could be rebuilt - Located in a nice area close to the embassy district and well serviced with trams. However, I would recommend the using the city cycle hire network for which there is a stand just across the road. You can buy a card from the tourist information to use these and it is a great way to get around Oslo. The pensjonat is very clean and decorated in a modern style with very friendly and helpful staff.
