  We liked the fact that the Del Sol had clean rooms at a great price. We don't stay in our rooms very much and had to stay a few days in a hotel until our timeshare was ready. We liked the open veranda with tables and chairs that was on our floor right outside our room where we could have a smoke and a beer. This little hotel is a great place to... hva folk sier » start out at. It is right across from the ferry to Isla Majeres and we took advantage of the fact the next day after our arrival. The staff was frie - 1. Rooms are good, quiet and comfortable, it has all basic needs, shower is good and hot, bed is ok (someone wrote that it's too firm, it was ok for me) 2. Breakfast is good, enough to feed 90kg guy 3. Hotel has own parking 4. Small shop (Oxxo) is just few steps away from hotel 5. Taxi to ADO station cost 30 peso (usually 1 of 2 taxi drivers agree to this price) 6. There is a cheap laundry nearby (10peso/kg),ask hotel stuff, it's close to ferry to isla mujeres and has black gates.

  It was good for a transit stop. Early morning, 5am, shuttle cost $20 - The staff were very nice, breakfast was really good - alittle pricey for Mexico, but wonderful selection. Inside of the hotel was clean.

  Hotel Rivemar was very clean and comfortable. It is located in what I call the 'heart' of Cancun. Rivermar is close to the ados bus station, shops and great places to eat. For the price one will be hard pressed to find better accomodations in Cancun. - I stayed here 3 times over the course of a few months.   Excellent standard, very nice rooms with big beds all white and fresh. Good facilities with gym and pool (although a bit cold!), laundry (you need to "buy" a special coin in the reception so don't do the same mistake that we did, trying all of our regular mexican pesos....) If you walk like 5-10 minutes from the hotel the opposite direction you can hop on any bus that says " - Breakfast was great. Good location, we used this as an overnight stop before going on to Tulum, the airport is only about half an hour away and the main bus station just down the road. Also lovely tacos just next door!
