The hotel's great location above tube station and next door to the limousine airport bus, just so convenient. Staff incredibly helpful and friendly, always going the extra length. It was the cheap option for a central location to Shinjuku. Observation level of govt building is across the street. You can walk directly to Shin via a subway or take the street. It has many eating options within the hotel should you wish to stay in house. Rooms are small and typical Tokyo style but do the job. Foreigners info desk were really helpful in all matters.

The hotel has many wings and rooms with different profiles. The cheaper ones are standard Japanese business hotels, i.e. very small, cheap, functional. The more expensive ones give more space and luxury. Both offer good (if not extraordinary) value for money IMHO.
The unique selling point of this hotel is that it's a 3min walk from Shinagawa station from which you can get Shinkansen to Kyoto/Osaka, and Yamanote for pretty much anywhere.

The gardens were so beautiful and relaxing! Staff was wonderful, spoke
excellent English which was a relief for us as we are very limited in
our Japanese. Very, very clean & very comfortable beds. Buffet
breakfast at the Patio was delicious and featured both Western &
Japanese food. Super easy access to all of Tokyo as the Shinagawa
station is just a 5 minute walk, across the street from the hotel. So
very easy to catch the Narita Express for our trip home to the usa.
