They had a private spa on site which i wanted to have with my boyfriend during Nikko trip. The charge was affordable and the room was totally prepared even we asked to have it upon check in!
Also, the room is sooooo spacious, we got a room for 2 and i assume the room was over 10 tatami matress. Not much amenities like hotel lux but that was not what we wanted so the Hotel Otaki is simply clean, spacious and Price is really affordable! There is dial bus from and to the station. It is very convenient for visitors to be there. Staff were very nice and helpful even they just spoke Japanese. It is recommended to know a little of Japanese before going there. Facilitates were fully equipped and the environment was peaceful. I loved staying in this hotel.
When entering Hotel shoes are required to be taken off, tatami mat thru out the lobby and room. Shuttle provided to off-site Onsen, for Y500. Vending machines in lobby for drinks, parking is ample. Very close to Edo Wonderland, Kegon Falls, Nikko Toshugo Shrines, and Lake Chuzaki.
Absolutely everything. The hotel was brilliant in every way and the staff were so friendly and helpful. We especially enjoyed the outdoor baths! In regards to location, value for money, staff etc Ootaki is definitely the best hotel we have stayed in so far.

The A/C unit in my Room was not blowing cool air, outside air was cooler than inside of room. Some rooms are smoking rooms, make sure to get a non-smoking room. Front desk will not tell you about it. Onsite buffet for Dinner Y3000. Most restaurants are close after 7pm within the vicinity. Staff has difficulty communicating in english.
A microwave and tea bags would have been appreciated.
Private onsen - 3000 yen for 50 mins
No other on site onsen, have to take free shuttle to nearby hotel and pay 500 yen.
I had to make the extra bed by myself from futon in the closet.
No wifi in rooms.
