  We had a 1 month trip around Japan :- Tokyo(Asakusa), Tokyo(Yokahama), a cruise, Kyoto, hiroshima, Osaka & back via Helsinki. Metro stations next to the hotel & easy access to th - We spent one night at this hotel. Great location - close to the A-bomb dome and Peace Park, Hiroshima Castle and shops. Staff were so friendly and efficient. I asked for a room high up with a view of the castle (and got it). Corner room with 270 degree views. It was magic and the room was spacious compared to anything else we had stayed at in Japan. We didn't eat at the hotel - but found places close by for dinner and breakfast.

  Loved this hotel! It is super close to the Peace Memorial Park and just down the road (3 min walk) from the A-Dome, which is only a 100 yen tram ride away from the train station. The rooms offer breathtaking views, the onsen is very chilled out and nice, and there's a ferry directly to Miyajima (one of the very best days we spent in Japan was on that lovely island).   Getting to know more about the tragedy of the bombing and the impact that it had on Hiroshima, but it was a tough like with a lot of emotion around. The Peace Park is a credit to the authorities. - Very clean and quiet. Staff friendly. Easy walking to Peace Memorial Park and other sites. We had excellent food at the local restaurants.

  We did the Nagasaki A bomb tour, so we skipped the Hiroshima one. We were there to go to Miyajima, so a hotel close to the station was our priority. For the Hiroshima stuff, the location looked a bit remote. - The staff at the hotel were exemplary, going out of their way to help us. The bed was nice and firm and room spotlessly clean.

When we decided to stay an extra night and she didn't have space, we looked online and couldn't find anything open. I stayed one night with my dad in a (very) little tatami-floored room with futons and shared bathroom facilities. Room was clean and the futons comfortable. Breakfast is not included. Yukatas and towels are provided. Booked it as a budget option and as such it didn't disappoint, I would recommend it if that's what you're after.
