The Casa Del Mar is a family owned/run residence and we were greeted by Walter (the son) on arrival, who made us very welcome and even gave us a lift to and from the local restaurant on our first night.
Afterwards, he was able to arrange car hire for us which is invaluable if you want to get around the area sight-seeing as buses are infrequent.
Casa Del Mar is a great location as Modica and Regusa are close by as is Punta Secca and Scicli. The area is popular with Inspector Montelbano fans as -

helpful. The rooms we had were spacious and clean. The area is quiet as
it is being developed but the premises have very good gardens which
allow for relaxing in the sun or taking shade. The sea is a few minutes
walk and we enjoyed the walk along the beach to the nearby village.
Given the popularity of the tv series insp. Montalbano and the location
of the premises this presents a great position to visit the various

I stay in hotels 200+ nights per year and Turkiscu is one of my favorite properties in the world. Lorenzo provides a perfect level of service and runs the hotel with great care. The breakfast is delicious and he makes it a point to ensure every guest has a great stay, without being invasive. The nearby Scalo beach is relaxing and unique, and Salina overall is a calming and memorable destination. I highly recommend Turkiscu.

The hotel is a little 'designer' jewel, tucked away in a corner of the old town of Favara. We stayed in room 301 - the only room on the top floor, next to a wonderful sun terrace, and a really great spot to enjoy the open air. The room was great and the bathroom, with its double shower, an eye-opener. The Belmonte's restaurant is also top-notch: a little more expensive than an typical Italian venue, but also of a much higher standard.

Small family house with three rooms for rent, inside the old city of Marsala. We got room on the roof, it was very clean and practical. The room has its own terrace (great for relax), but the view is just on the roofs or terraces of other houses.Owners were very friendly, although they don´t speak English.
