  A wonderful old manor house restored in a theatrical style of drapes and paintings. The current owners couldn't be more open and helpful - Alessandro has a wealth of knowledge of the history of the town and the region despite being there for less than a year. He has also set up the wine museum on display in the hotel cellars. His wife Nori brought... hva folk sier » homemade cakes for breakfast each day and runs the wine tastings on offer at the hotel. We were made to feel completely at home such that in the even - Montecarlo is a charming walled village with a number of very good restaurants. One fine dining restaurant is in the Michelin guide, the Pizzeria on the terrace overlooking the countryside is great and so is the little Trattoria. We felt very welcome from the moment we arrived and the hosts were really helpful. The room was great, furnishings are classic and there are antique pieces in the various public rooms, we also liked the artistic touches with flowers and furnishings painted onto walls.

  The hotel is in a wonderful location. If you want a peaceful holiday this is the hotel to go. The proprietors were very helpful and pleasant. A good Breakfast is served on the terrace looking out onto the mountains. The best thing of all for us was the pool, towels were also provided.
