  The Villa is very well-kept, rooms are very nicely finished and large. The pool area is amazing and a great place to relax. The Villa is also a Bus Trip away from Venice. There is a well equiped kitchen, with satelite tv and a/c. They offer free bicycles for their clients to go around the area. We left our car on the safe parking sport and took a bus to Venice, which was extremely convenient. Accommodation was clean and spacious, with a beautiful terrace.

  The welcome we received on arrival to the Doge was warm and friendly. We were too early to check in to our room but the owner kindly stored our bags while we went into Venice and could not have been more helpful. He drew us an easy to follow map on how to get to the bus stop, which is a gentle 15 minute stroll away.   We liked everything. The staff speak English as well as Russian (for those who dont speak Italian). The owner was so kind, that gave us two parking spaces for our cars free of charge in the property garden and the staff was so nice, they provided all the facilities what you need including fridge (to keep baby food), boiled water (to prepare baby f... hva folk sier » ood and tea). For those travelling with babies or children Locanda Cavalli is the best option. The property is located in a really quiet street, maki - Friendly and comfortable place in Mestre we used this as a base to explore Venice and surrounding areas from. The place is modern and air-conditioned with double glazed windows, very comfortable. Easy walk to nearby "Voltourno" bus station which is easy to get to town and to Venice on. Difficult to get a bus timetable anywhere though with connections etc. We took the T1 from Voltourno to Columbo (2 stops) then onto the 4L to Venice.

  I liked staying in Mestre. It was quiet and only a 15 to 20 minute bus ride to Venice. The bus runs quite late and is only a block and a half from the hotel. (#2 bus on via Piave) The building was secure and the neighbourhood felt safe. The young gentleman at the front desk was friendly and helpful. We spilled coffee over the bedclothes right down to the mattress. The owner couldn't have been more helpful and understanding. He came up and changed all the bedding and washed the bed! The place was cleaned every day. Location was alos very good. Near bus stop and train station with good access to Venice, Verona, Padua, etc. Free safe and wi-fi and good security for the block.
