  Hotel was well located for visiting Lucca walled city. Close to shops and 10 mins taxi ride from the train station. Hotel staff were helpful and room was quite basic but clean and comfortable - Clean and value for money. Very close (15 mins) to entrance of walled city.   BandB Le Giare with Massimo, Claudia and their parents was the best accommodation in all of our 8 weeks travel in Italy. It was like going home and the hospitality exceeded that of hotels. I will definitely be returning - We were very impressed with BandB Le Giare, our hosts were extremely helpful and very pleasant. The BandB was immaculate and the breakfast very good. Lucca is a wonderful place and we only wished we stayed longer. Hopefully we will return as there is so much more to see in and around Lucca.

  We arrived earlier than 15h (the time you normally can check-in). The cleaning lady called the owner and he arrived 5 minutes later. We already could check in. He was very helpful and nice. The accommodation looks a little like a motel and that has its charms. The room was very spacious with a big bed, a large closet and a little kitchen.
