  Excellent was in a residential location so had real italian food thatwas a short distance and prices were very cheap. Was a 5 minute walkfrom the Cavour metro station and 10 minute walk from the Collosseum.The bus stop was outside our hotel no. 71.   M just back from a trip to Italy and had stayed 3 nights at Casa Santa Sofia. Biggest advantage and my reason for selecting this place was the location. Its at a walking distance from Metro station Cavour, which is the first stop after Termini on Blue line. So its very convenient to reach the hotel from Airport.   Location was by far the best thing. The suggestions on how best to visit and tour Rome on foot from the non-24hr reception staff rep was fantastic. Bed was clean.   Casa San Giuseppe is centrally located to everything in Rome, especially the Ponte Sisto, which is a great nighttime hangout with Romans. Because it is on the Trastevere side of Rome, the neighborhood is quiet. This hotel has the best blackout shades I have ever seen in my life, so you have absolutely no idea that it is morning! Trastevere neighbourhood is great, icecream shops, and ristorante and trattorias just around the corner. In walking distance to all major "must see" tourist attractions. For italian standard, the breakfast is very good. Our 3 person room was very spacious, but the furniture and bathroom is some what dated and worn. All in all very good value for money.

There are also a number or good restaurants of all prices very near, within 10 minutes walking at a leisurely pace. The staff was very friendly and helpful, giving tips on how to get into the Colosseum and Roman Forum without waiting 4 hours
