  The staff were extremely helpful and sympathetic. We had a small problem with a key, and they were eager to sort it out very quickly. The rooms are airy and comfortable (we stayed in 2 different ones on separate nights), and we were given a quiet one at the back when we asked for one. All in all, a very good place to stay, especially as it is w - Very central, 2 mins away from piazza Duomo and Via Etnea and 5 mins away from the market. Less than 10 mins from the port. It has a private parking shared with the rest of the gated community which seemed to be safe. The guesthouse has a lift as well and it was very good considering the cheap price we payed. Wifi was also available, italian breakfast in room and with a balcony for the street view. Very worth it if you're not looking for luxury but the basics you need

  Excellent location for sightseeing. Beds and pillow (self selection)excellent as were the bathroom and breakfast. Highly recommended. - Staff were friendly and very helpful and efficient. I drove to the hotel and all I had to do was follow the signs to the Best Western Mediterraneo once I entered the city of Catania.I was able to find it with ease.

Everyone had an open access to the kitchen which was combined with dinning room, where cakes, coffee, tea, juice, water and other things were available at any time of the day. The street market with fresh fruits, chees, seafoodis round the corner. Staff is unbelivebly friendly and it was the best hoteli have ever been. Feels like home!
