The location is amazing. We were backpacking as a family, and the central train station is a ten minute walk at most. The 'hotel' is right in the center of the city. The man (Herman) who runs the place is charming, and will ride up on his bike at a moments notice to provide anything you may need. He even brought cold bottled water and left in in o

The location was great, only a five minute walk from the train station and the "main" Piazza is only a short walk away. The man that runs the place is always very helpful and will do his best to make you feel welcome and appreciated.
The room had A/C and was clean, the bathroom was big and very nice.
You get your own key to the building and it almost feels like you have your own apartment in the city of Bologna :)

We stayed in Casa Ilaria for two nights last June. Allthough Bologna can be quite tricky by car, we were lucky to find it without delay. The location is superb, in an elegant building in a lively area in the centre, a lot of students (which we liked). Everything is within walking distance, and the streets around are very nice to wander around in. A lot of nice restaurants, cafe's and musea close.
