This is a well established Guest House with extremely comfortable accommodation and rest areas and a spacious, breakfast room. Personal warm welcome and and friendly,attentive service from the owners was a highlight of our stay. The breakfast was a delight and the owners engaged everyone at breakfast in lively conversation. The elegant and immaculate B&B is an easy walking distance to the charming town of Athlone, & has ample free parking. Our hosts Harry and Linda gave us personal assistance with the repair of our wheelchair and our gps - we are so thankful. Breakfast was substantial and delicious.
alle vurderinger » This is a good b & b! Parking for free, comfortable rooms, very friendly, solicitous and helpful staff, and a wonderful Irish breakfast. Quiet, convenient to Athlone on foot or by car. Friendly and helpful owners who provide a good breakfast and helpful information. Located in a neighborhood section of Athlone, a very short drive from the town center. (Could be walked). Shannonside has much potential to be excellent. It is a good well-located well-constructed and clean facility with excellent parking and an attentive host. Ease of access to town centre without being right in the middle of it. Easy walking distance. V good off road parking & free wi-fi. Very welcoming, clean spacious and well located. Room was clean comfortable and breakfast was excellent. What more can you ask for. Local connection to the town. Solid and fresh two-person bed. Wonderful heating. Private bathroom is lovely. I visited Ireland twice and both times stayed here. Absolutley charming family and great breakfast. I liked the quiet location of the house which was still just a few minutes walk from town cwntre. Was made to feel very welcome,clean & v comfortable,lovely breakfast, will become a regular. Very friendly. Good introduction to facilities available. Good advice on access to the town. The well kept facilities. The helpfullness of the hosts'. And the Irish breakfast. Easy parking, very clean, good breakfast, friendly, shaft walk to town centre. This is an absolute gem of a place to stay! Everything was picture perfect. Staff were friendly and helpful, rooms were clean and comfortable. Very nice people and id everything to make our stay enjoyable. It was very quiet, and the breakfast was very good. Bed was comfortable, shower was lovely and hot. Beautifully decorated. location, price. Nice hosts. everythng. rooms. I was a good location for our needs. n/a. Our party was bothered through much of its sleep-time, by a barking dog that was in or near the property. We were unable to locate a hair dryer, a feature that was common at other B&Bs. Cannot fault Shannonside, other than its not actually on the side of the Shannon as such!. Nothing. To leave this place. Noise - Doors banging late into the night. None!!. It was all good. Room was very small. bathroom very small. It was freezing in the house, heating was off when we arrived so the room was extremely cold. No heating in the toilet/shower room. Heating was off during the night too so it never warmed up. It would have been around 2 or 3 degrees in the room !!! Terrible ! never again !.
