  It felt very homey and comfortable not like modern hotels that are full of corridors that look the same. . The room was gorgeous and the view spectacular, it was spotless clean and had all the facilities we needed. The staff in the bar were great! Breakfast was lovely and all the guests were chatting with each other.   The owner was very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Myself and my fiancé had a very pleasant stay. We would certainly recommend this B&B to anyone. We would both be more than happy to stay here again. - Pat was a great host. He is a guitarist and loaned me a guitar so I could enjoy playing while there.

  My room was light and airy with 2 wondow on adjacent walls for a beautiful crossdraft.Had a viewof the Irish sea from my window and from the glassed in sun room. Lillie and Michael were lovely and very helpful,ensuring that I was able to visit Glendalough and Avoca. - Money lands was terrific!   We found out about the Gables online as we were traveling in the area. We found it to be an excellent B&b and the only reason our ratings were good in some areas instead of excellent was that the weather was extremely cold and although our rooms had heaters and heated beds, it was still a bit cold in the rooms. We stayed in the apartment, whic... hva folk sier » h was huge and had a full kitchen with complimentary tea and coffee, an electric fireplace, and a very nice welcoming snack of tea and scones. Breakfa - Having stayed in numerous Bed and breakfast facilities over the last 20 years we would have to say that the Gables Bed+Breakfast is one of the very best we have ever stayed in. We were overwhelmed with the attention to detail Maeve and Aiden paid to our stay. Words fail to fully describe the welcome we received, and if you want quality at a very modest price, with an excellent breakfast in to the bargain then get to Gables B+B Ballygriffen, Arklow.

Rose and Brendan, the hosts for 27 years, are amicable, helpful, and delightful. On our last day, Rose even phoned our next B&B for information on best access to the sights we wanted to see from their location.
