We liked everything especially the decor of the hotel, speed of the internet conncetion, rooftop dining experience and amazing breakfast.
Restricted swimming pool timings, too much time in delivering food orders and slightly overpriced menu. The European dishes in the menu were not up to the par.

-It is not centrally located but it is a good thing as you can easily reach the Pink City by a rikshaw and get rid of the craziness of downtown. - In our particular room, there was no shower box, so the whole bathroom was a mess with water al over.
Staff are very nice, place is impeccable. Certainly one of the best 3 star hotel in Jaipur.
The spacious nicely decorated rooms are well maintained and really comfortable. The dishes in the restaurant especially the Indian curries and Thai are excellent.

About everything was good. The decoration of the hotel showed a great effort and the result extremely pleasant. The best part of the hotel is the restaurant on the terrace. Rooms are comfortable and quiet.

I loved the style of the hotel and the very friendly staff who were very helpful. Great value for money and good for those that are happy to use the central location for a base to see the wonderful Jaipur.
The bathroom needed an update, the room was a bit dusty, the beds could have been a bit comfier.

I really enjoyed my stay at Umaid Mahal Hotel and I would definitely recommend it!!! The hotel is simply beautiful! The terrace is great and the food that they provide is really tasty.

The breakfast. I did not like the breakfast because there was no variety. The stuffed paranthas had very little potatoes inside. I felt as if I was eating thick chapati. The food items may be increased.

Clean, comfortable bedroom/bathroom. Helpful, friendly staff. Breakfast buffet - Indian/English choices, with fresh omelette to order. Enjoyed our evening meals in the roof top restaurant.
No complaints. Swimming pool could have been cleaner but as we were there to explore Jaipur we didn't want to use it anyway.

The hote is brightly decorated and well maintained even though it is an antique hotel. The stuff is very friendly and polite which makes the guest really feels like a quest. The price for the food is also very reasonably priced, especially the roof top restaurant which is very cute but clean. The room is lushly decorated, really feel like to live in the rich historical site. Good value for money and will definitely recommend others to stay here.

We used the booking service for the trip from Jaipur to Delhi and even though they recommended the bus, we would never take the bus again because not only is it quite rough driving due to traffic and streets (bus is comfortable) but we also had an accident and lost 3 hours because of it. Take the train.
Great hotel, old styling, friendly staff, secure. Breakfasts were good but the best bit was the roof top restaurant! Fantastic food and views.

It truly is "Mahal" or palace look alike! Very colorful interior, old pictures of Rajasthan people, palace imitation details everywhere. Breakfast was better than average Indian one.

Terrible standard for service. The final bill took 15 minutes after I reminded the reception person thrice that I have a flight to catch. For getting water we had to wait for 2.5 hours in the afternoon because nobody picked up the room service phone. I was extremely disappointed.
Beautiful hotel in Rajasthani style. Very stylish. We liked it very much. Wonderful decor. Restaurant was wonderful and food excellent.

The Umaid Mahal is a gem of a hotel. It is well located and absolutely beautiful, the exterior a promise of the interior, the decor is completely beguiling and the historical photos take you back to a bygone era. There is nothing old fashioned about the Umaid Mahal however, there is every modern convenience. The staff could not be more helpful, very attentive, yet unobtrusive. The food is delicious and lovely roof terrace to sit and while away a few hours. The bar well stocked and the prices not inflated, which was a welcome change. Value for money and I would recommend wholeheartedly this hotel and would definitely stay there again.
Good place you will gain more than what you paid
our train arrived late for more than 1 hour and to our surprise the staff was waiting for us right outsite of the train station, and the pick-up was even free! one of the best hotels within the same price range in India
the standard room is not as good as the overall looking, i don't know how good their breakfast is but morning call to remind us to have it was not very pleasent..
Very clean; friendly staff; great hot shower (one night, when the water boiler was broken, they repaired it very quickly); nice design - tacky, golden colourful interiors but hey - this is India!
Location - a bit far from the centre. We had to wait for the laundry for quite a long time and my white t-shirt is not white anymore so don't give them any valuable clothes.

A bit far from the most landmarks to visit. The room was surprisingly small for the value and what we've seen on the pictures. We felt like we had the smallest room with hardly any place to put our suitcases or move around. The breakfast buffet is in the basement, which is a pity since they have a nice rooftop terrace restaurant. The pictures on the website look way better than the real thing.

The staff isn't professional, is always at the phone or watching Tv. In the room air condition is too much noisy (we change 3 times the room but nothing has change). The restaurant is too expensive compare to the quality
