everything....roof top dinning....food......location...decor....attitudes....excellent value
We liked everything especially the decor of the hotel, speed of the internet conncetion, rooftop dining experience and amazing breakfast.
Restricted swimming pool timings, too much time in delivering food orders and slightly overpriced menu. The European dishes in the menu were not up to the par.
-Magnificient hotel, beautiful. -Breakfast -Cleaness -Calm -Tourist
-It is not centrally located but it is a good thing as you can
easily reach the Pink City by a rikshaw and get rid of the craziness
- In our particular room, there was no shower box, so the whole bathroom was a mess with water al over.
Staff are very nice, place is impeccable.
Certainly one of the best 3 star hotel in Jaipur.
The spacious nicely decorated rooms are well maintained and really comfortable. The dishes in the restaurant especially the Indian curries and Thai are excellent.
About everything was good. The
decoration of the hotel showed a great effort and the result extremely pleasant. The best part of the hotel is the restaurant on the terrace. Rooms are comfortable and quiet.
No accommodation for driver.
The roof-top restaurant was nice.
Cleanliness, free wifi
Breakfast was very ordinary and needs improvement.
Nicely appointed rooms, great staff, lovely rooftop restaurant, WiFi in room and breakfast room, great shower!
Need to take auto rickshaw ... not all drivers know it - take a card!
I loved the style of the hotel and the very friendly staff who were very helpful. Great value for money and good for those that are happy to use the central location for a base to see the wonderful Jaipur.
The bathroom needed an update, the room was a bit dusty, the beds could have been a bit comfier.
The rooftop restaurant staff was nice.
The wifi was really slow/weak. The gentleman who checked us in wasn't particularly friendly - just doing his job, I guess.
First time no black feet. Really clean. Small palace. Friendly staff. Nice rooftop.
Bed is a bit hard. Pool can be cleaner.
The hotel was wonderful. Full decorated with Rajashtan arts and photos. Bedroom was big with complete facilities.
Too far from the city. Breakfast menus very standard. Not much varieties.
the room was very elegant..the food was excellent...staff very courteous..a good package in all
Amazing hotel! The room are very clean, the staff is very nice and the price of the room is very cheap for what you got! Thanks!
The design of the hotel The staff and service The spacious room
The restaurant being separate from the hotel therefore couldn't
charge items to the room The air conditioning system in our room
was too noisy
+ Wonderful indian style interior, decorated with traditional indian objects
+ The restaurant on the roof was very romantic, with a warm and charming ambience
- Swimming pool was a small, cold, and quite dirty
I really enjoyed my stay at Umaid Mahal Hotel and I would definitely recommend it!!! The hotel is simply beautiful! The terrace is great and the food that they provide is really tasty.
Roof Top restaurant
Huge rooms with ethnic decor
Preety small swimming pool
Absolutely no disappointment in this hotel. Lovely decor, nice staff, great food.
They could change towels during the stay, and restock the fridge. But no major disappointment.
The services and especially the food. Food was very very tasty.
The breakfast. I did not like the breakfast because there was no variety. The stuffed paranthas had very little potatoes inside. I felt as if I was eating thick chapati. The food items may be increased.
Staff were amazing couldn't do enough for us. Amazing building with beautiful hand painted artwork lovely rooftop restaurant great food and great value.
Absolutely nothing !!!!
Clean, comfortable bedroom/bathroom. Helpful, friendly staff.
Breakfast buffet - Indian/English choices, with fresh omelette to
order. Enjoyed our evening meals in the roof top restaurant.
No complaints. Swimming pool could have been cleaner but as we were
there to explore Jaipur we didn't want to use it anyway.
An amazing place. Very pretty. Clean. Friendly staff. Romantic. It's located in a pretty and very quiet neighbourhood, within walking distance from the centre.
The ambience was good. Iys quite and relaxing. Feels like home
The food would have been better though
The hote is brightly decorated and well maintained even though it is an antique hotel. The stuff is very friendly and polite which makes the guest really feels like a quest. The price for the food is also very reasonably priced, especially the roof top restaurant which is very cute but clean. The room is lushly decorated, really feel like to live in the rich historical site. Good value for money and will definitely recommend others to stay here.
Only short coming is the smell of the room.
Staff very friendly.
Everything was awesome. The room was beautiful, the service was nice.
Honest booking service. Great taxi service.
We used the booking service for the trip from Jaipur to Delhi and even
though they recommended the bus, we would never take the bus again
because not only is it quite rough driving due to traffic and streets
(bus is comfortable) but we also had an accident and lost 3 hours
because of it. Take the train.
Great hotel, old styling, friendly staff, secure. Breakfasts were good but the best bit was the roof top restaurant! Fantastic food and views.
Wifi was frustrating as constantly cut out. Did not really detract one bit though.
It truly is "Mahal" or palace look alike! Very colorful interior, old pictures of Rajasthan people, palace imitation details everywhere. Breakfast was better than average Indian one.
It´s location. Away from Jaipur main sights on small and dark street.
The building, the room, the comfort, the value for money, the service at reception desk (very helpful)
The table service at breakfast time was not up to the mark, the noise in our room (ground floor)
The design of the hotel .
The decor, the location
Terrible standard for service. The final bill took 15 minutes after I
reminded the reception person thrice that I have a flight to catch. For
getting water we had to wait for 2.5 hours in the afternoon because
nobody picked up the room service phone. I was extremely disappointed.
Beautiful hotel in Rajasthani style. Very stylish. We liked it very
much. Wonderful decor. Restaurant was wonderful and food excellent.
Nothing really. A wee bit expensive for India but we were very happy
there fo four nights.
The Umaid Mahal is a gem of a hotel. It is well located and absolutely beautiful, the exterior a promise of the interior, the decor is completely beguiling and the historical photos take you back to a bygone era. There is nothing old fashioned about the Umaid Mahal however, there is every modern convenience. The staff could not be more helpful, very attentive, yet unobtrusive. The food is delicious and lovely roof terrace to sit and while away a few hours. The bar well stocked and the prices not inflated, which was a welcome change. Value for money and I would recommend wholeheartedly this hotel and would definitely stay there again.
you will gain more than what you paid
our train arrived late for more than 1 hour and to our surprise the staff was waiting for us right outsite of the train station, and the pick-up was even free! one of the best hotels within the same price range in India
the standard room is not as good as the overall looking, i don't know how good their breakfast is but morning call to remind us to have it was not very pleasent..
Very clean; friendly staff; great hot shower (one night, when the water
boiler was broken, they repaired it very quickly); nice design - tacky,
golden colourful interiors but hey - this is India!
Location - a bit far from the centre. We had to wait for the laundry for
quite a long time and my white t-shirt is not white anymore so don't
give them any valuable clothes.
The Heritage look of the hotel.
Lovely artifacts and design
Very traditional look
Great collectibles to depict Rajasthani culture
Decent b/f spread
Catering specifically to foreign tourists in taste, spread and spiciness of food
Exorbitant charges for basic things like water bottles & soft drinks
The service, the gorgeous gate.
A bit far from the most landmarks to visit. The room was surprisingly small for the value and what we've seen on the pictures. We felt like we had the smallest room with hardly any place to put our suitcases or move around. The breakfast buffet is in the basement, which is a pity since they have a nice rooftop terrace restaurant. The pictures on the website look way better than the real thing.
the arquitecture is very beautiful.
Coacroches in the WC, room was small and wifi was slow. I would not stay there again.
It looks very beautiful, seems a maharaja palace
The staff isn't professional, is always at the phone or watching Tv. In the room air condition is too much noisy (we change 3 times the room but nothing has change). The restaurant is too expensive compare to the quality
