The location was excellent, as were the facilities at the hotel, even though we didn't get to use them. The view from the top floor is stunning and the centre is an esy walking distance. - Warm Reception and upgrade due to low season. Great view and exquisitebreakfast. For this hotel, it is definitely located in a great area, Syntagma which just a few minutes walk from the metro. The staffs is excellent, services is comprehensive. Even the decoration of the room and the shampoo also is a high level standard. Especially, there is a staff which will be birthday two days before me - 13/6. The location of this hotel is perfect - easy walk from train station
with suitcases; walking distance to many historic sites that we wanted
to visit and plenty of restaurants for meals very close. Breakfast room
with the view was not exaggerated, it is awesome. Perfect, and we had
great weather so were able to sit outside. The bathroom is probably the
smallest I have ever stayed...hard to shave because of the closeness of
everything but it just added to the charm. Free wireless worked great

The Athos is located within walking distance of the Plaka area and the Acropolis as well as the Temple of Zeus and Hadrian's Arch...we are walkers but this is easy walking. If you can get a room on the 4th floor you can get a spectacular view of the Parthenon from your window. Either way the view from the roof is just as beautiful.. The shopping streets are close by too, as well as lots of good eating options.
