  This is our second time staying at the Hotel an der Oper and we chose it again for its excellent location. It is located very near the Hofbrauhaus (and other eating & drinking places such as Augustiner and Hard Rock), which are all very easy to walk to. Most of the top sights of Munich are right nearby. The same is true of many of the best restaurants and shops. The staff was very helpful with reservations, including getting us excellent seats at a very popular performance of Rigoletto, which was right around the corner. They also selected and reserved a perfect restaurant for our first night in the city. Very nice!

  The hotel is very near to MarienPlatz and the food market. In front is the very nice and huge supermarket with German deliciousness. The room was a bit small, but high tech. Clean, neat, I was on the fourth floor overlooking the street. Super fast Internet.   This hotel for me was very comfortable. I had booked single room then requested a single superior. The single rooms are on the street side which could get quite noisy not a problem if you want to use the air-con. We had a one bedroom apartment which was very spacious, clean and well equipped. Don't be deceived by the surroundings when you walk down the street to the hotel. The breakfast buffet is excellent with great choice and very fresh. Location walking distance from Hauptbahnhof and therefore easy to get any where in Munich via the U bahn and S bahn.
