  The hotel is centrally located in the old town part of Munich. Easily accessible by public transportation and close to all main tourist sites. The room was quite big and comfortable. My husband and I were pleasantly surprised by how nice it was, for a pension in the city center. There were even two live plants in the room. We've paid 75 Euros for the double room with private shower/WC during the Opera festival which is a great deal for Altstadt.   This hotel is in a very convenient location close to the train station, subway, museums and inner city sites. The room was very spacious and nicely furnished with a comfortable four poster king size bed. The bathroom had a roomy shower and a much appreciated heated floor. Besides, the Main Railway station is also close and the U-Bahn station is right in front of the hotel. The staff is friendly and helpful, the breakfast is cheap and very tasty. - The staff at Hotel Stachus. We had caught the overnight train from Berlin so arrived very early to the hotel. The lady on reception was very gracious and looked after our bags and arranged early check in for us ~12 noon. Very well located, close to trains and Main Street. Big windows that allowed fresh air at a good breeze at night.
