Good location for west part of the city. Just a step from several malls and ubahn/sbahn station. Very good price for what you get. Breakfast is also nice when compared with price.
As mentioned in the description it is not an easy access place. Several steps and quite narrow corridors.

This hotel is a brilliant find - right in the middle of Berlin. There are lots of restaurants and bars nearby. The price is excellent for what you get.
Location was very good. The room was spacious and warm and the breakfast was good too. The staff was very friendly.

In General, I liked everything. However, in this room was not felt. Breakfast was good, staff very friendly, ready to help. Speak several languages (German, English, almost all - Russian). Good location of the hotel (cheap Parking place, cafe-restaurants, proximity to major shopping centres), but expensive. Separately about Parking: Parking - paid (from 10 to 22), Euro per hour. By the standards of the Berlin - not very. expensive, but for the day incident, 12 Euro, and the space is small. In General impressions are positive. Not clearly, but I Recommend.
In the corridors of the hotel!!! was a strange smell!!!! like sewer smell. Steep winding stairs to the rooms!. With the disabled-men rise unrealistic. Children almost nowhere to go except in a zoo, but it's not for every day. And so, playgrounds,amusement no (but it's not a question to the hotel).

Very clean, comfortable, simple and spacious bedroom. Lovely old fashioned windows opening out onto a court yard. Very quiet at night. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Breakfast buffet was very generous and varied. Hotel very centrally placed and near good public transport. In a quiet street with cafes and restaurants below. Extremely good value. Would definitely stay there again.

The rooms were very clean, staff very helpful and the location is good with rail and underground stations both within 10 minutes walk.
Great breakfast. I was told I could use a portable computer provided by the reception to go online.
Then after I got the message about available computer, I was given another message from another staff member: No computer is lended for guests. Furthermore, I couldn't work out how the safe in the room was operating, and when I told the person at the reception, he was not able to assist me / leave the reception. Neither was another person available, so I ended up not using it, which felt a bit risky and quite unnecessary when I knew a far better option was so near, yet so far.

I was very much pleased with the friendly and competent attitude of the receptionist. The room was clean, the bathroom top clean (I had bad experiences in 5 star hotels). The breakfast buffet was excellent, various, simply great! I surely will return whenever I am Berlin! All the best to the management and personnel!

The receptionist sleeping behind his desk with his eyes half open at 11PM. It looked freaky, we couldn't get him to wake up and had to grab our room key ourselves.
Staff was excellent, we had trouble with car, they helped us immediately and solved the problem. Breakfast was very good, and the whole style of the hotel is really interesting. Even room with 4 beds was spacious. Will come back next time I am in Berlin.
Some furniture and walls had their mark of time on it, but overall it goes well with the whole atmosphere.

Great hotel! The staff is very genarous and helpful, me and my friends were very delighted thanks to the good fellas at the reception who suggested great places to travel, where to eat and even helped us when our things got lost. The location of the hotel is also a great success! On the street that the hotel is placed, there are great Italian restaurant named Avanti and there is a great pub right benith the hotel and I didnt even mention that the main shopping street of Berlin is right there. Thank you Upper room Hotel!
The stairs that you have to climb to the hotel are pretty annoying.
We liked the cleanliness of rooms, breakfast, staff.
The only thing we did not like is that the window of our room looked out into the courtyard. In courtyard with a 7:00 am, sometimes earlier, came to works and make noise, and talking loudly and doing some work. So in the holiday we woke up early. I think that is feeling other visitors to the hotel, whose windows overlooked the courtyard. I think in such places, where there are hotels, works should begin later, allowing the tourists to relax after previous hard day.

There is construction work going on in the building. Airconditioner did not work i.e. it did nothing to cool the room, only air circulation It was quite difficult to get our luggage up to your room due to difficult stair access. When we checked out they offered us help with luggage but only after I had specifically requested it.

Excellent location close to U- and S-bahn. Spacious room (at least the 3 bed room we had).
Breakfast area could be planned better, hard to get at everything due to narrow passage at the end which became blocked with only few guests present.
