  This hotel lived up to previous rave reviews we had read. We had a very comfortable and spacious room with, unexpectedly, a king size bed. (Perhaps we'd been upgraded?) Good tv, great wifi, plenty of towels, interesting design touches with the furnishing. Breakfast was a quality continental buffet, constantly replenished, including porridge which was delicious and satisfied our liking for somethin - Wow! This is an incredible hotel! The room is modern and full of amenities and classy. The bed is heavenly! The entire place is really nice and the breakfast is huge and varied and tremendous! But I must point out that the best thing is the staff at the front desk. I was having a terrible time getting a reservation set up online with an airline website that was not working and they actually called the airline for me, since I could not get through on my cell phone, making it possible for me to g

  The location is superb; it's right next to central train station, and it's also the final stop of Finnair airport shuttle bus (30 min.ride; driver can take credit cards). If you're laying over at Helsinki with a late night flight, Holiday Inn is the best option, not to mention complimentary in-house sauna service. Oh! The only exce - Location for attending the Flow Rock Festival (saw incredible Kraftwerk!!) and for bus travel to/from the airport was unbeatable. Right next to the main train station/metro and facing an open bus staion - yet without any of that sleaziness that infects European train/bus stations. Finns are just too nice to be sleazy and are also darn good-looking!!! They have to be the handsomest race I have ever or will ever see.
