It's a nice and very quiet hotel in the centre of Helsinki. Great for anyone who wants to live right in the centre and very close to all the shops, restaurants and the Central Train Station etc. Not a luxury place but certainly does what it says on the tin. Very contemporary design. You get into the hotel with a door code which you also use for your room and the lifts.

Everything was arranged as promissed. We camo very late, but code to the door was send by e-mail and SMS (that was very convenient). Pica bar downstairs was exelent place for late dinner. We benefited having tea in room, as we where traveling with kids. just value for money if you want location cose to center. It is a lot of place for parking just

The hotel is situated in the historical heart of the city, so it's easy to get wherever you want. There's a pizzeria on the ground floor and many shopping centers nearby.
The room was not very big, but it has two separated areas, for sleeping and for dining.
There's no kitchen, but you can warm up pre-cooked meals (there are plenty of them in the supermarket) in the microwave.

The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable about the surrounding area. Breakfast was well-stocked and the bar and cafe on ground floor looked tidy and comfy. Room (twin) was clean and spacious, and had what I needed. Very well noise-insulated room, I did not hear a peep from outside. -

We really enjoyed our stay at Sokos Aleksanteri Hotel. The room was comfortable, cosy and quite. The location of the hotel is absolutely fine - in the center, but on a small quite street. Very good quality, well equipped apartments with great views in a central location. Terrace will be lovely in the summer months (we visited in November). Good walks, restaurants, shopping and most sites close-by. Please note that this is an apartment, not a hotel, so no breakfast or cleaning provided but there is an excellent Fazer cafe next door.
