  Upon arriving at Hotel Rio Amazonas, it was as if we had come upon a castle in the middle of a bustling city! It has the look of one with the turret and the exterior wonderfully created. The staff, particularly Carolina & Paula, were magnificent and super helpful & friendly. Both spoke multiple languages and made us feel like dear frien... hva folk sier » ds and family. Every morning is the most delicious breakfast of yogurt, cheese, ham, fresh fruit, cereal, hot coffee & tea, plus delicious jam an - The staff were very helpful, patient with me when trying out my poor Spanish and gave great advice on places to go and to eat. The building is fabulous with masses of character and original features. Location is excellent - my main reason for the original choice of staying there, which I did on four separate occasions, using Santiago as a hub for travel to all points of the compass.
