Upon arriving at Hotel Rio Amazonas, it was as if we had come upon a castle in the middle of a bustling city! It has the look of one with the turret and the exterior wonderfully created. The staff, particularly Carolina & Paula, were magnificent and super helpful & friendly. Both spoke multiple languages and made us feel like dear friends and family. Every morning is the most delicious breakfast of yogurt, cheese, ham, fresh fruit, cereal, hot coffee & tea, plus delicious jam an.
alle vurderinger » The staff were very helpful, patient with me when trying out my poor Spanish and gave great advice on places to go and to eat. The building is fabulous with masses of character and original features. Location is excellent - my main reason for the original choice of staying there, which I did on four separate occasions, using Santiago as a hub for travel to all points of the compass. Wifi is fast and consistent. Breakfast is also excellent. As the place is right next door to the Argentine e. Cute little hostel a few blocks away from a great area of restaurants and bars. The hostel itself is charming and has a nice little bar that whoever is on staff can retrieve a beer or a pisco sour for you! Beds were clean and comfy, staff friendly. Excellent location, staff always very friendly, helpful and willing to do their best and nice cozy environment! I recommend for everyone who wants a good place to stay with relaxation and enjoy Santiago various attractions all around nearby. The staff were wonderful and incredibly helpful; the rooms spacious, clean and loved the garden area. It was also set in a great location near bars, restaurants, supermarket and a metro station. Staff was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Continental breakfast was delicious and filling. Location is near the subway and within walking distance of several sites. Bed was comfortable. Close to metro station easy to locate. Staff very helpful to book shuttle to airport. Even got a coffee and cereal at 4 am when needed an early start. The location was great! And the staff so helpful. We enjoyed the common areas and the breakfast. Over all it was a great stay for the cost. Very good breakfast. Free access to computer + WiFi. Very friendly staff who can speak various languages. The location was ideal and was a short walk to all the main tourist locations and metro. The staff was always welcoming, friendly and helpful. Great location. Very nice hostel friendly staffs close to metro and city centre. boutique, friendly atmosphere, good breakfast,. The decor the intimacy very personable. It was a great place to stay. The downside of the character and hardwood flooring is that noise travels and floorboards squeak. That should not be a deal breaker though as the place has so much more to offer. Shower in the triple room doesn't drain and by the time I was done showering was standing in a pool. Had to cross a busy intersection to get to restaurant area, which isn't a big deal but sometimes it's nice to be right in the mix. The only thing I would say is there is not enough staff at breakfast time. We had to wait awhile to be served and refills for coffee took ages. Maybe self service would be better?. A taller table lamp would have made reading easier. Sad to say the bed we slept in sags a good deal and room 5 is accross from the shared bathroom which also woke us a few times. Single room very small but this is usually the case. they did give us directions to a museum on a Monday. museums are closed on monday. Nothing.
