  Upon arriving at Hotel Rio Amazonas, it was as if we had come upon a castle in the middle of a bustling city! It has the look of one with the turret and the exterior wonderfully created. Location is excellent - my main reason for the original choice of staying there, which I did on four separate occasions, using Santiago as a hub for travel to all points of the compass.   Wow! My husband and I have travelled the world and for the first time in a long time we ended up with an amazing apartment just like it said on the website. Ximena the owner was really nice and very attentive. The apartment was perfect! Clean and just right for the two of us. It was quiet and central too. I was truly amazed how nice and modern the apa - everything: the friendly owner (thank you again, Maria!), the location, the apartment including the kitchen, the nearby supermarket, the mountain view, the indeed very good internet connection. Moreover, returning from a trip to the Easter Island we used the washing machine and dryer in the 22nd floor and felt like home (even better: one can use it until11pm!). For the airport one can take the taxi in front of the building for a lower price than the shuttle for 2 persons! (13000 CLP). I cannot
