  When the five of us arrived late that first night, rather exhausted after a bike trip of some 220 kms in the sun, Iriann made us feel welcome. Drinks were served swiftly and at regular intervals, our evening dinner was cooked to our whims: spaghetti with two sauces in separate bowls and a couple of sunny side up eggs. Breakfast was delicious and made of the stuff cyclists appreciate: fresh juice, a choice of cereals and dairy prod - Just returned from a fantastic weekend staying in the Hotel Le Nid d'Izel Gaume-Ardenne with a group of 20+ friends and Marc & his wife took such good care of us all! Fluent in English they went beyond the usual call of duty helping us to arrange restaurant and taxi reservations (not easy for 20+ people!!) and let us fully explore their fine selection of Belgian beers (I dare anyone to try the Trappist Monk Challenge!!) Already starting to arrange (and looking forward to) our return in 2014

  This hotel had a very friendly staff. The location is why I chose it: it is very close (a 5 or so minute bus ride) from the Orval Abbey. The bus stop is around the corner. I was originally going to stay at the Hostel across the street from the Abbey, but it is closed on Mondays (when I was headed there). I couldn't have been happier. Traditional hotel. Great garden. We found first room noisy because of a connecting door to neighbouring room. Very pleased that another room was found for us without fuss.
