When the five of us arrived late that first night, rather exhausted after a bike trip of some 220 kms in the sun, Iriann made us feel welcome. Drinks were served swiftly and at regular intervals, our evening dinner was cooked to our whims: spaghetti with two sauces in separate bowls and a couple of sunny side up eggs. The rooms were airy and neat, the bathroom had a large bath tub. Breakfast was delicious and made of the stuff cyclists appreciate: fresh juice, a choice of cereals and dairy prod.
alle vurderinger » Just returned from a fantastic weekend staying in the Hotel Le Nid d'Izel Gaume-Ardenne with a group of 20+ friends and Marc & his wife took such good care of us all! Fluent in English they went beyond the usual call of duty helping us to arrange restaurant and taxi reservations (not easy for 20+ people!!) and let us fully explore their fine selection of Belgian beers (I dare anyone to try the Trappist Monk Challenge!!) Already starting to arrange (and looking forward to) our return in 2014. Owner was very friendly, with a good introduction upon arrival. Accommodation was excellent with a triple aspect room, with the main view overlooking the well kept interesting gardens. We were there just the one night so we didn't make use of the swimming pool etc,.the owner kindly drafted out a route for our onward journey. Overall a well kept,well run business with a smile !. Large suite, quality beds and fittings, ample breakfast including special effort to cater for British guests by putting on eggs, bacon, beans etc together with continental breakfast. friendliness of staff. Free use of swimming Pool. We liked it all. The location, the friendly, helpful staff, the cleanliness, the standard of food, the amenities and the reasonable prices. An excellent place whether stopping for one night or a few days as we did. It was a friendly, welcoming hotel with excellent restaurants and other facilities within reasonable distance. Its nearest town, Florenville, was a real find. really excellent hotel. owner of hotel was very pleasant and friendly( she speaks English well), she finds fishing for us. Thank you so much. Great views, helpful staff, large, clean room. We had to drive into nearest town for dinner, but that wasn't too difficult. this place was excellent, staff brillant and the one of the cleanest places ive ever stayed at ill be returning again. Very welcoming staff and a nice hotel. A pleasure to have stayed. PERFECT. Friendly welcome, good atmosphere and general feel of the place. Well organized, spacious and clean rooms, quiet place. Friendly and helpfull staf Decent breakfast buffet. Dogs in the neighbourhood kept barking all night and caused two of us to have not so nice and relaxing rest as the other three. There is nothing to not like!!. The only criticism was the extortionate cost of extras, ie 30euro cost to use the sauna for 1 hour, which in every hotel i have ever stayed at before is free. Nothing whatsoever. There was a charge to use the pool - but it was too cold anyway. Difficulty accessing the free wifi. Nothing. Would have liked a kettle and tea and coffee making facilities in the room. NOthing. Wifi only avaiable in loby area. Cold room, it took several hours to heat up. breakfast is very simple difficult to find very basic hotel.
