I'm brazilian and stayed for four days, went alone to buenos aires and was amazing. The hostel is close to other neighborhoods known like palermo retiro and recoleta. I recommend!

  We stayed in Hotelmo which is next store to the Mantengase hotel, they offered private rooms with private bathroom. Everything was fantastic from the location, service, the owners of the complex are very very accommodating. Even though we couldnt speak a word of spanish and they couldnt speak a word of english, they bent over backwards to assist ... hva folk sier » us. The people that received us at the hotel treated us as their family, caring if we had everything... the breakfast was good too... the front house, where we were having the breakfast, has turtles, dogs and a funny parrot, what made the experience even better for us... I have been travelling for 6 months now and this is the best one I have found - comfortable, peaceful, decent sized rooms, great location (San Telmo - short walk to Plaza Dorrego, next to a metro stop). It was nice to eat the breakfast with the roof-top view. - The cleanliness and the plumbing! Most places in Buenos Aires have plumbing problems. This one had excellent showers. Very functional apartment.
