  The view from the ocean side rooms was spectacular. The check in staff (Wendy) did a great job checking us in with a long line, she was very friendly and helpful. The room was remodeled and very bright and cheery, the white bedding was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. We made the decision to stay over in Hilo at the last minute and i... wat mensen zeggen » t was the only place that was available and aren't sorry that we decided to stay there. - - Nice ocean-view corner room with wrapping balcony - Clean, well-maintained, quiet room - Good location to the airport, town, and access to roads out of town (especially to volcanoes) - Ample parking - We'd seen a fair number of negative reviews, but are very glad we tried the hotel anyway; had no issues

  We love the location - close to the downtown, which we walk to for shopping, dining, etc. We especially enjoy sitting near the ocean watching the breakers crash onto the lava rock. The bar is fun, and the special $75 dinner for two was exceptional. This was our 3rd visit to Royal Kona Resort, and Liz, check-out clerk said we should call ahead to t... wat mensen zeggen » he Manager requesting a free upgrade to an ocean view next time. That would be lovely!!! - We liked the location it was ideal for access to shops, restaurants and trolley bus which takes you all round the area, it is also nicely situated on the beach with it's own lagoon.the restaurant and bar are also situated overlooking the sea which is really nice while dining especially as the sun is setting.

  Very helpful owner, on site. Provided recommendations for places to eat, beaches to go to, other adventures. Also made sure he was around to say goodbye when we left. Far enough from Hilo, but close enough to get there in 20 minutes. Comfortable living spaces. Pool was open and available any time, even if we were to come home late from dinner... wat mensen zeggen » . Garry gave us his cell phone number and told us he'd warm up the hot tub whenever we needed it. - The best we have ever been! Wonderful garden, pool and view! Garry was super friendly and helpful. I wish we could stay more days there :)
