Bathroom,spotless and bar staff were the highlight what a nice girl Lot of female only parties (including us family group of 2) not ignored as can be the case and lovely cocktails - Friendly and helpful staff who went out of their way to make you feel welcome.   Lovely welcome on arrival, very friendly and the cookie was amazing!! Such a nice little touch! We was on the 10th floor and pleasantly surprised with the view of the train station and city. Decor was minimal and stylish; comfy beds and pillows. Air con worked well! Whole room/bathroom very clean. Was told on arrival we had complementary mini bar ... wat mensen zeggen » and breakfast which I wasn't aware of so that was a great little bonus! Breakfast was fab! probably the nicest ive had while staying away from home ev - i stayed at the double tree hilton for the easter weekend with my partner. we found this hotel to be fantastic value compared to others in the local area as well as being in a great location. everything was within a 5 mins stroll like bars, restaurants and the new trinity shopping centre. the staff were very friendly and helpful with information of the local area. parking at the hotel was very handy asare rarely found at city centre hotels. the room itself was fresh, modern, and very clean with

  We travelled to Halifax for a weekend wedding. We had a wonderful welcome from every member of staff at the White Swan. They could not have done more for us and we felt that they had a genuine interest in us as individuals. Parking at the Hotel was limited and we had worried about it on the way up. However, the helpful staff made quite sure we had... wat mensen zeggen » somewhere to park, moved the car about for us when necessary and really took the stress out of things - an amazing service for a city hotel. At the e - We loved every thing about the Hotel the staff were so helpful and friendly. Any thing we needed they got for us eg extra milk and sugar.On arrival they took our car keys and parked it away for the weekend and got it back out on our departure. The Breakfast was unbelieveable everything you could think of was available a table set out with every fruit you can think of every cereal fruit juices etc plenty of tea/coffee and then a beautiful cooked Full English followed by toast!   I liked the style and the presentation but there were a lack of mirrors and lighting. They should have placed a mirror in the bathroom in order for women to do their make up. Plus the room smelt of damp which was overpowering and spoilt my stay. An employee stated that they had a flood and was going to change the carpets not only in the rooms but ... wat mensen zeggen » there was a large damp patch in the hallway which was also overpowering. This puts me off staying again as I would very much had liked to do so as the - we have stayed at the heritage center before. The apartment was excellent. Our stay was a little too short and much of the time was spent with our family who live in huddersfield. On arriving a gentleman came over to us and thankfully guided us to the correct entrance doorway and took us up to the apartment. I don't think we would have found it easily as we thought it was accessed via the lift. He replaced a hallway light straight away. We will stay again. (We like room 5 as it has a great view

  Very enjoyable time at the Marriot, the service and room were as usual excellent all the staff were very helpfull and did all they could to make our stay a wonderful experience.
